There’s always fun stuff for kids and families to do at the Miller Community Center, and to celebrate the awesome people who make the events happen, the center is hosting a Neighborhood Appreciation Potluck on Tuesday.
Neighborhood Appreciation Day is Seattle’s very own recognition and celebration of neighbors. Come and get to know your community while sharing delicious food! Please bring a dish to share.
This event will take place on Tuesday, February 5th from 6-8 p.m.
“It’s just going to be a time for people to come and meet each other and eat meals together,” says Heather Harlow, the center’s recreational leader. “The teen and tot room will also be open so families can explore the center and hang out.”
Miller CC, located at 330 19th Ave E, provides numerous programs and events for the community. To ensure every child can participate in programs, the center also awards scholarships for those unable to afford the classes.
“We’ve given scholarships for everything from Lego engineering classes to piano lessons,” Harlow says.
To raise youth scholarship program funds, the center hosts events such as the Dinner and a Movie Night on Feb. 12. Check it out:

Which movie will it be?
That was gonna be my comment too! They might get a little more interest from folks if they announce what the movie will be.
Staff at Miller noted: “We do have a selection of movies for our attendees to choose from”.
