Young scientists from middle and high schools across the Seattle area congregated at Seattle Central Community College Saturday for the Science Olympiad. Qualifiers from the regional tourney in categories including the classic helicopter egg drop, mousetrap vehicles, gliders, and the always challenging robot arm moved on in the state competition. More than 400 students participated in the fifth annual competition, organizers said.
