Spring snowflakes flutter, don’t stick on Capitol Hill

An unreasonably unseasonably cold patch of weather brought snow to Capitol Hill this first Friday of spring. National Weather Service says it won’t last long.

Scattered rain and snow showers. Snow level 700 feet. Partly sunny, with a high near 48. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

You can check out the latest temperature updates here — and get a look at the dancing snowflakes on these Capitol Hill traffic cameras.

Check road conditions if you plan to head too far from the city — some Eastside locations are reporting more than three inches of snow.

  1. We just have to make it through today! Then it’s highs near 60 with a forecast full of sun. I’m looking forward to yard work and the opportunity to see neighbors out and about.
