Thanks to big tech, Seattle fireworks officially un-canceled

It’s official. The cancelation* is canceled. Seattle will have fireworks (but no Blue Angels) for the 4th of July. For three more years.

“Seattle’s annual 4th of July fireworks show on Lake Union is back from the dead, thanks to the support of Microsoft, Amazon, and an online casino game company called Doubledown Interactive,” the always patriotic Slog reports.

Here are some places around Capitol Hill to watch the show. Not included: the crowded with fun apartment above.

And, as we told you earlier, the annual Cal Anderson Independence Day Picnic will also be back this year. Hurray, and stuff! But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. First comes Pride 2013.
