Action shot from last year’s first ever bake-off

Hey sports fans, it’s time to kick off Capitol Hill pro-am baking series for another season. Last year saw champions crowned in both the whoopie and cherry pie divisions. So far in 2013, only CHS advertiser High 5 Pie’s annual Cherry Pie Bake-Off is confirmed for the circuit.

Deadline for entries for the second annual bake-off is Monday, July 1. You can throw your apron in the ring via email. The contest — and tasting! — will be held at the 12th and Madison shop on Sunday, July 7 from 1 to 3pm. Prizes and fame await. Maybe someday you’ll go up to the big leagues.
