Seattle Fire units were called to an apartment building in the 100 block of Bellevue Ave E Sunday morning to handle a reported fire apparently related to an ongoing police issue. The incident was taken care of quickly by SFD — nearby residents reported smelling something burning but did not see smoke or flames.

The incident appears to be related to an ongoing police issue from the morning involving a building resident who showed signs of mental illness and was blasting music inside the building. We don’t have official confirmation that the fire was in the same unit where SPD was handling the noise complaints earlier Sunday but responding SFD units were advised via dispatch radio about the mental illness situation as they arrived at the scene. We don’t have details on any arrests related to the incident.

Did that have to do with the exploding sounds I heard in the middle of the night from olive and summit?

I’m also at Olive/Summit and heard the same explosions. I’m so sick of the constant 3AM fireworks…
