Vote: 5 Capitol Hill questions for Seattle’s mayoral candidates

Screen-Shot-2013-06-01-at-4.12.45-PMCHS has already talked in-depth with two of the frontrunners in the Seattle’s mayor race. Next week, voting will begin in the August primary to select the city’s final two candidates for fall. Below, CHS has put together a roster of potential Capitol Hill-centric questions to send to each campaign before the primary vote begins. Please vote for the questions you think we should send. We’ll tally results when the poll closes Thursday at noon.

I’d like to see them answer the following: “Our neighborhood is becoming increasingly dense, yet with continued cuts to Metro and removal of parking, transit capacity is actually declining. How is ‘transit-oriented development’ supposed to work when transit capacity is being reduced?”

Thanks for doing this. If you’re taking suggestions, I’d like to see a question around more beat cops (police on foot instead of in their cars) in Capitol Hill (and downtown).
