Gloomy office dwellers, avert your eyes. Substantial, the Capitol Hill-based digital products studio that swooned desk jockeys everywhere with their tricked out Pine and Broadway office (full bar!), is opening another space across the street. They’re calling it Substantial South, located at Pike and Broadway above Capitol Hill Cider.

The initial pictures look like the new office will be taking some design cues from the Substantial headquarters, located above Blick art supplies on Broadway. Here’s what the Substantial blog had to say about the new digs:

Substantial South is also in a hundred year old building, featuring exposed brick and beams, hardwood floors, an entire wall of windows, and an open floor plan. After a few months of searching, we knew it was “the one” as soon as we walked into the space, as it immediately recalled the HQ with its warmth and character. It’s been a flurry of activity since as we’ve prepared the space (credit to SHED and Dolan Built) to get our first teams over there. We’ve moved in and while there’s plenty of work to be done it already feels like home.

Substantial counts Amazon, Starbucks, and the Savage Lovecast among its local clients, as well as Kanye West and CitiBank. Last summer CHS profiled the company and its co-founder, Donte Parks. The six-year-old company employs 50 people in Seattle and has a smaller office in San Francisco.
