Highline to host benefit for Comet employees

highline2While we fret about about what the indefinite closure of the Comet Tavern means for Capitol Hill, the Pike/Pine watering hole’s employees are looking for ways to make ends meet. Broadway’s Highline has stepped forward to host a show or two displaced by the sudden shuttering and, next week, the venue is hosting a benefit to raise money for the Comet’s staff. Here are the details sent to CHS by Dan of Smashie Smashie:

Smashie Smashie, Skullbot, and SEMINARS will be doing a benefit show for the Comet Tavern employees on October 9th at the Highline Bar. Door proceeds will be going to the employees of the Comet Tavern who are out of work right now.
Details:
Where: Highline Bar
When: 10/9 at 8PM
Cover: $6+
Ages: 21+
Why: ‘Cause glitter, confetti, and worker solidarity are fun!
