- Skateboarder collision: A male in his 20s was injured in a car vs. skateboarder incident near Harvard and Pine early Sunday morning around 2:20 AM. Initial reports indicated the rider suffered a “severe impact” but we do not have additional information on his condition at this time. Seattle Fire and SPD responded to the 2:20 AM incident. We will update when we learn more about the crash and the victim’s condition. UPDATE Monday, November 25th, 9:30 AM: SFD says the skateboarder was transported to Harborview in stable condition and with no major injuries after suffering a decreased level of consciousness when he collided with the car’s windshield.
- E Madison fire: Seattle Fire responded to a report of smoke coming from the first floor of the building home to El Portal Coffee shop and roaster in the 2300 block of E Madison late Friday night. Responding crews arrived just before midnight to find a small fire in one room of the building and were able to quickly bring the blaze under control. There were no immediate details on the cause of the fire or any damage to the building. Nobody was injured in the incident. UPDATE Monday, November 25th, 9:40 AM: Owner Ignacio Ventura tells us damage was minimal after a candle caught fire in the bathroom of El Portal. We recommend you stop by for tamales ASAP.
