Seattle Central Community College security posted these flyers around the campus in the 1700 block of Broadway with information about the man and the incident.
The student-run New City Collegian was first to report the assault:
According to the student, the assaulter fondled her breasts and attempted to forcibly restrain her as she tried to flee. After the student exited the performance hall the suspect, a white, bald, and middle aged male, was seen by student witnesses leaving campus via Harvard Ave.
A campus spokesperson confirmed the reported assault and said a security bulletin was sent to students about the incident. He said the investigation is being handled by Seattle Police.
We have not yet been able to reach SPD for an update on the investigation. According to police dispatch information from the 23rd, officers were called to the campus around 12:15 PM last Thursday to the reported sex assault and were told to be on the lookout for an older white male wearing a dark jacket and plaid shirt. There were no immediate arrests and no Seattle Fire medical units were called to the scene.
UPDATE: SPD confirms that the case is being investigated and has been assigned to a detective but no further details were yet available.
Anybody with information should call detectives at (206) 684-5575 or dial 911.
