The city recently announced it has renamed the 23rd Avenue Corridor Greenway. They’d now like you to call it the Central Area Neighborhood Greenway.
CHS wrote about the potential for the project to create “a mix of signage, pavement markings, speed bumps, roundabouts and other traffic-calming features” connecting the Central District, Capitol Hill and Montlake.
The Central Area Neighborhood Greenway and the 23rd Avenue Corridor Improvement Project will hold several drop-in sessions at the end of January. Project staff will be on hand to answer questions at the following times and locations:

Can’t they just pave the darn road, ensure sidewalks and crosswalks are safe and call it a day? Sounds like a lot of drama while other roads crumble and have less than safe crosswalks for folks on foot.
If people wish to walk and bike from 90 to 520, there are much better routes to take. We still need roads to expedite people and goods through the city.
