Seattle Mayor Ed Murray was on Broadway Friday night to speak at a Love Thy Neighbours benefit to support Equal Rights Washington. The event also marked an opportunity for the LGBTQ community to speak out against anti-LGBTQ violence. Here’s a statement posted to Murray’s Facebook page about the night:

Tonight I stopped by Neighbours to show that we will not be threatened. This is a place where we have celebrated, mourned, and joined together as a community. And tonight I am happy to we are here to support Equal Rights Washington.

Wednesday, CHS reported details of the first degree arson charges brought against former Capitol Hill resident Musab Musmari for the New Year’s fire attack inside the crowded club. Musmari will enter his plea on the charges later this month.
