Capitol Hill Goodwill ready for your donations

Need a place to dump your old sports gear?

With the Capitol Hill Goodwill on track for a May opening in the former home of Half Price Books, the store’s donation center at its new Belmont Ave E location will open this week.

Capitol Hill Donation Site – OPENING MONDAY, MARCH 3
At this site we gladly accept:

All quality reusable clothing and household items.
All electronics including televisions and computer monitors measuring 19 inches or less, desktop computers and laptops.

We’re sorry, at this site we can’t take:
Furniture*, appliances or other items larger than an end table.
*This location will start accepting furniture donations later in May.
Goodwill never accepts hazardous, poisonous or flammable material or items containing them, or items that have been recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). (Please check www.cpsc.gov for a current list of recalls.)

Need to donate something this site doesn’t accept? Find another donation site nearby.

Located at 115 Belmont Ave E, the Capitol Hill store will be Seattle Goodwill’s 24th location. If you’re looking for another nonprofit venue in need of your gently used clothing and household items, you can also stop by E Union’s Lifelong Thrift Store.
