A lot of concerns have been expressed about the state of safety on the streets at night around Capitol Hill but Sunday afternoon in Cal Anderson Park, only a small crowd gathered for some martial arts training and to hear new SPD Chief Kathleen O’Toole talk about public safety. Other recent self defense workshops with a focus on specific communities have proven popular in Seattle.
