You have until 8 PM to cast your August 2014 Primary ballot — here are the area drop boxes if you didn’t get it together to get yours stamped and mailed.

As a reward, Molly Moon’s ice cream shops are giving out free scoops on Election Day if you show your ballot stub.

With two Molly Moon’s to choose from on Capitol Hill these days — 19th Ave E and E Pine — It’s an excellent incentive. We’re not sure why more places don’t do similar promotions. If you already tossed your stub, we suggest trying a screenshot of your ballot tracking status.

With the Parks District vote and the first stage of the race between ChoppCapitol Hill’s longtime Olympia powerbroker Chopp faces Socialist Alternative in search of 11th term — and Spear — Challenger Spear brings Socialist Alternative (and ground game) fight to 43rd District establishment — there are also plenty of non-dessert related reasons to vote.

After your ice cream cone, you can stop by candidate Spear’s campaign party at Capitol Hill’s Vermillion Tuesday night.

Once again I forgot to hold on to my ballot stub for stuff like this. Stupid me for always following the “recycle” instruction!
