  • Club fight: A female victim suffered a minor facial injury and a male victim was knocked unconscious in an assault reported late on Valentine’s outside the Rhino Room at 11th and Pine. We’re not sure exactly how to explain what played out but the report seems to describe an altercation between a group of women and two males that got turned up a notch when two more guys intervened and started throwing punches. Here’s how one victim reported the melee began:

  • 14/Spring gunpoint robbery: There are more details on the early morning February 15th armed hold-up at 14th and Spring CHS first reported here. According to the SPD report on the incident, two people were held up at gunpoint by two male suspects. After one victim handed over her phone and her purse in the 1:30 AM robbery, the other victim told police he tried to grab the bag back but was punched in the face. The suspects then demanded that victim hand over his wallet and his phone. The suspects then fled the scene. The report does not provide suspect descriptions. Without a phone, the two victims walked to the East Precinct at 12th and Pine to report the crime.
  • Wine boost: Police were called to the QFC at Pike and Broadway early on Friday the 13th to investigate after a man yelled “I am not paying for this shit” and fled the store with 4 to 5 bottles of wine. During the 3:45 AM investigation, a customer told police that a person had just tried to sell a bottle of wine to them on the street near Pike and Summit for $5. A check of the area did not turn up the suspect.
