We hope you saved some energy for this late into the hottest Seattle summer… ever. While the weather has taken a turn for the wetter, there’s a full slate of things to do around Capitol Hill.
- Capitol Hill’s season of free music festivals hits hard this weekend starting with Saturday night’s 2015 Linda’s Fest:
- Sunday brings Cairo’s annual Vibrations festival to Volunteer Park:
- Volunteer Park is also home to a weekend of free Shakespeare including The Two Noble Kinsmen Thursday night, and a Shakespearean “triple feature” on Saturday.
Speaking of high art, Friday night’s outdoor movie in Cal Anderson is slated to be Adventures in Babysitting if it doesn’t get thunderstormed out.CANCELED DUE TO RAIN :(- Cal Anderson also hosts the Relay for Life Saturday.
- Finally (or firstly, to be more accurate with the timeline), on Thursday night don’t miss August’s edition of the Capitol Hill art walk including Hybrid_space presents: EMPTY VASE:
tony archie kim’s installation is a delicate structure sewn into the space, like a spider establishing it’s web. Come check it out this August 13th, to join in a conversation about strength, fragility, rigidity, and plaster.
