  • E Union pedestrian collision: Seattle Police closed E Union at 26th Wednesday night after a man was struck by a vehicle in a “severe impact” collision. Investigators were on the scene of the just before 9:30 PM incident in which a man in his 50s was struck by the vehicle and suffered a serious head injury. Seattle Fire transported the unconscious but breathing patient to Harborview. We do not have further details about his condition or what lead to the incident. UPDATE: The man was last reported in critical condition at Harborview.
  • Broadway hit and run: Two teens were busted in an attempted hit and run Tuesday afternoon at Broadway and Thomas thanks to fast acting employees at nearby Julia’s. According to witnesses, a group of teens bailed out of a jeep after it collided with another vehicle at the intersection in the 3:30 PM incident. Police were assisted by workers at Julia’s who saw the incident and gave chase. SPD reports that the jeep was stolen in Kirkland a few days earlier. “Officers were able to catch two of the suspects that ran, a 14-year-old female and a 16 -year-old male, at 12th Ave. and Denny Way and placed them under arrest,” the SPD report on the incident reads. “Police are still investigating the case and are working to identify a third person who fled the scene of the crash.” At least one and possibly two suspects were reported to have fled via Metro. SPD says the driver in the second vehicle was not seriously injured in the crash.
  • Cal Anderson mugging: The victim in a Sunday evening mugging inside Cal Anderson couldn’t provide SPD with many details of the robbery:

  • Brick tosser sought: A strange scene resulted in busted glass at a north Broadway bank early last Friday morning. Here’s the report on the incident from SPD
Screen Shot 2015-09-17 at 10.42.39 AMPolice note that nothing appeared to have been taken and that the brick was placed into evidence.
  • Downtown burglar: A downtown restaurant in the 800 block of Pike lost $2,400 in cash and tablet computers to a suspected female burglar. The manager of the restaurant told police a woman entered the business as it was closing and entered the bathroom. The manager said nobody remembered the woman in the bathroom as the place was locked up for the night. That night, a security alarm on a rear door went off just before midnight. Police continue to investigate the case.
  • Squatters: East Precinct has had its hands full lately dealing with squatters in shuttered buildings being prepared for demolition. In one incident Monday afternoon at a house near 11th and E Thomas, police called to clear a house where squatters were refusing to leave found multiple bikes in the building one of which showed up in a stolen bike registry. At least one person was arrested and the bikes were taken by police.
  • I-5 trespassing: Seattle Police can now enforce no trespassing on WSDOT’s tracts of land without the presence of a state official. The administrative agreement was struck as part of SPD’s ongoing efforts at more humane homeless outreach, according to a SPD spokesperson. Prior to the changes made in June, the “trespass enforcement authorizations” were done piecemeal on state property within the city, according to the spokesperson.
  • Gun seized: Police were called to the area around 12th and Pike early Sunday morning just before 2 AM to a report of a man with a gun. Officers arrived to find a female on the ground after she was apparently shoved in a dispute with the suspect. Police took the man into custody and seized a handgun, according to radio dispatches.
  • Hate crime: One victim in this Cal Anderson robbery and assault case from last weekend says he is also the victim of a hate crime.
  • Whitlatch fired: East Precinct officer Cynthia Whitlatch has been fired for “sustained policy violations involving bias, abuse of police discretion, and escalation of a contact” for her July 2014 arrest of William Wingate.

Stolen car and “ 14-year-old female and a 16 -year-old male”, what a stereotypical trash people story. Such people should not be let in to Capitol Hill in the first place.

Yes, that must be it. “a” doesn’t want to share a seat on the train with these people come 2016. Fortunately for “a”, they seem to have come into possession of a Jeep.
