CHS Community Post | Pretty Parlor celebrates 14-year parlor-versary with trunk show & shopping event

ParlorVersaryPressCapitol Hill gets a glamorous makeover on Small Business Saturday, November 28th 2015 from 2:00 – 6:00pm, when the Pretty Parlor presents a fabulous Trunk Show featuring the famed local designer J.Von Stratton and darling Ruby Mimosa & her Burlesque Boutique Pop-up Shop. Sequins, beads, sparkly party dresses & spectacular accessories will be available for all.

“We love us some cray cray fashion, and costume designer J.Von Stratton’s creations are all that and more!” -Perez Hilton

“(J.Von Stratton) One of Seattle’s most in-demand designers.”  -KING 5 News

The Burlesque Boutique offers top-of-the-line burlesque accessories for the professional and amateur burlesque, boylesque, cabaret and drag performer, as well as the novice, daring housewives, gift-giving lovers, and the diva in all of us who desires to be sparkly!

Capitol Hill’s pin-up extraordinaire Miss Kitty Kitty Bang Bang will model Holiday fashions along with our newest addition, Sophia our new Parlor Kitty! She is a 6-month-old Russian Blue stray we’ve recently adopted thanks to local comedian Emmett Montgomery. Our legendary, beloved shop cat Vincent passed away in September from advanced carcinoma in his lungs.

Prizes, give-aways & treats will be shared! And the entire store will be 14% off!

“We started on the Hill in ‘01, moved to Phinney Ridge, came back in ‘05, and never lost our effervescent style and sass that has continually made us a top vintage & indie boutique destination in Seattle. We were recently voted Seattle’s Best Women’s Boutique by Seattle Weekly readers.”

Housed at Pretty Parlor headquarters (119 Summit Ave E.), this FREE event salutes the 14-year reign of Pretty Parlor and the art of indie spirit.
