From the Seattle Department of Transporation
A private contractor has been approved to perform vault installation/service upgrades on Broadway Avenue E at multiple locations on March 28th & 29th. The installations will occur sequentially, not all at once.
Work includes saw cutting and installation of new vaults and internal vault components in the sidewalk. No service outages are planned.
Business access will be maintained at every location.
There will be temporary closure of the north/south crossing on the east side of Broadway E at E Thomas.
Pedestrian access widths will vary, but in all other cases pedestrian access will be maintained on the sidewalk around the work zone(s). Other work includes:
908 E Thomas – 4’ access minimum
200 Broadway Ave E – 3’ access minimum
219 Broadway Ave E – 3’ access minimum
224 Broadway Ave E – 5 ½’ access minimum
1614 Nagle Pl – 4’ access minimum
Two additional locations may be included pending permit resolution during this time period:
1800 E Olive Way (planting strip installation on the south side of E Olive Way, between alley and Broadway) – 4’ access minimum
115 Broadway Ave E (SEC Broadway and John) – 4’ access minimum
We understand that this work impacts your neighborhood. The intent is to coordinate this work to allow maximum pedestrian mobility while limiting the duration of extended impacts for all concerned.
