Capitol Hill Pets | Good Tashi in Cal Anderson

IMG_2884
Super friendly, 8-year-old Tashi — meaning “fortunate” in Bhutanese — is a rescue from Northwest German Shepherd Rescue. When she was taken in, she was 7 months old and 35 pounds, which according to her human friend Andrew, was 35 pounds underweight. Now she is about 85 pounds. “She’s a lot happier than she was.” Tashi is not a huge fan of autofocus beeps or clicking noises resulting from camera shutters or skateboard wheels on the sidewalk.

We ask photographer Alex Garland to follow marchers in the rain and do crazy things like trying to make yet another picture of yet another huge apartment building look interesting. We thought we’d ask him to do something a little more fun. Capitol Hill Pets is a semi-regular look at our furry, fuzzy, feathered, and finned friends found out and about on Capitol Hill.
