A woman told police carjackers stole her Toyota RAV 4 at gunpoint late Thursday night on 18th Ave E.
Police were called to the 400 block around 10:15 PM to a report that three males pulled a gun on a female victim before speeding away northbound on 18th Ave E in the stolen blue RAV 4, according to East Precinct radio reports.
Arriving officers searching for the vehicle found clothing and a magazine from an airgun in the street at the scene. The victim told police the group attempted to keep her in the vehicle but she was able to escape.
There were no reported serious injuries in the incident and no immediate arrests.
UPDATE 10:00 AM: Seattle Police tell CHS despite the possible evidence involving an airgun, robbery detectives are investigating the carjacking. The stolen RAV 4 has not yet been recovered.
There was an armed (street) robbery on Beacon Hill on Monday, and another one in Judkins Park on Tuesday. Same crew?
