• Street team robbery: Police believe a street robbery at Broadway and Pike was perpetrated by a group of three males using a creative ruse to distract their victims. According to the report on the midnight January 21st robbery, the victim and his girlfriend were confronted by the thieves in what seemed like a drunken catcall:
  Police believe the thieves were playing parts in a caper that would make Quentin Tarantino proud:
  There were no arrests reported.
• Police investigate Broadway/Pike rapper vs. hot dog vendor dispute: Just after 1 AM on January 15th, police were called to the Shell service station parking lot at Broadway and Pike… and a Callan Berry cartoon broke out. A rapper trying to film his video in the lot in the middle of the area’s usual weekend madness told police a neighborhood hot dog vendor had threatened him with a knife. As with most things Callan Berry and Pike/Broadway, there was more to the story:
  
• 12th Ave stabbing: A man was stabbed in an early morning January 20th altercation on 12th Ave near Pine after he confronted the male suspect who had been talking to his girlfriend:
  The girlfriend told police the victim had been “getting into altercations with several different people all night.” The man suffered an injury to his hand and was reportedly bleeding profusely before being treated by Seattle Fire.
• Pike/Pine beating: Police were called to 10th and Pike just after midnight on January 14th after a male victim was found knocked-out after an assault caught on video by a nearby hot dog vendor:
  A vendor told police he had witnessed and recorded the assault by two suspects described only as white males in their 20s. Police searched the area but could not locate the suspects. The victim suffered a cut above his eyebrow and another on the back of his head. He was transported by Seattle Fire to Harborview.
• A third Broadway bandit hold-up: Turns out the suspect in two other 200 block Broadway E robberies also held-up a restaurant in the area. Like the other hold-ups at the Bank of America and the Rite Aid, the suspect in the January 13th robbery at the unidentified Broadway restaurant used a note to walk out with a few hundred dollars in cash:
  There have been no arrests announced.
• Ice-pick arrest: Police arriving at a January 11th domestic violence incident in the 300 block of E Thomas found a struggle involving three people including one man armed with an ice-pick:
  The ice pick-carrying suspect was taken into custody and booked for investigation of harassment.
• 19th Ave E restaurant burglary: The glass front door of a restaurant in the 600 block of 19th Ave E was smashed and an unknown number of items taken in a break-in reported early on the morning of January 13th. Police arrived after alarms were tripped to find the smashed glass minutes before but no suspect was found.
• Shopping basket assault: Police were called to the Harvard Market QFC around 8 PM on January 13th to a report of a man throwing shopping baskets at people:Police were told the suspect had been attempting to steal things from the store and had been removed only to return and start the fracas. A search of the area did not turn up the suspect.
• Summit burglary: The victim in a Summit Ave burglary told police he was home when a thief entered his apartment — but he was knocked out by medication. The burglar made off with a “Samsung cell phone, several credit cards, and a bus pass” in the January 23rd burglary.
• Ashes stolen: The thief who broke into an E John residence in a burglary reported January 18th will probably be a little disappointed with their haul from a mysterious plastic container they found in the house:
  Police investigating the break-in think the burglar broke in by climbing up a recycling bin to access a window. If you found a three-pound bag full of ashes, call 911.
