Seattle U’s new campus store now open at 12th and Madison

Seattle University’s overhaul of its campus at the corner where 12th meets Madison has a newly opened component — the school’s new bookstore, carved out of the first floor of the storage facility building at the intersection, is now open for business.

The huge new location for the store presents a new, more public facing retail space for Seattle U. The cavernous space is filled with textbooks in the back plus plenty of Redhawk sports gear and the various accoutrements required of a modern day Capitol Hill university student like USB cables, whiteboards, make-up, and copious amounts of junk food. The next time you’re in a pinch for some earbuds, stop in.

The storage facility, meanwhile, still occupies the upper floors of the building but with a new brand — Urban Storage Capitol Hill.

Meanwhile, construction continues next door on the school’s project to create a 10-story mixed dorm and offices building. Seattle U plans for the first two floors of Vi Hilbert Hall to be the new home for the Enrollment Services offices while the top eight floors of the project will serve as a new residence hall with around 300 beds for juniors and seniors.

The new Seattle U campus store is located at 1125 12th Ave. You can learn more here.
