CHS Pics | This week in Capitol Hill pictures

The CHS Flickr Pool contains more than 36,000 photographs — most of Capitol Hill images, many glorious, some technically amazing. The pool is a mix of contributions from Capitol Hill — and nearby — shutterbugs. Interested in being part of it? If we like your photo and it helps us tell the story, we may feature it on CHS so please include your name and/or a link to your website so we can properly credit you. Interested in working as a paid CHS contributor for scheduled assignments? Drop us a line.

We also keep our eyes on the #capitolhillseattle Instagram tag —- you should, too! Below are this week’s best Capitol Hill shots. Thanks for sharing!

Living abroad has given me a whole new appreciation for where I grew up as well as where I live now, both are beautiful in their own unique ways. • I love that on my trips back to Seattle, I now see my hometown through the eyes of a tourist. I notice simple details – like this VW bug (I don't think I've ever seen one here in Australia) and the very 'Pacific Northwest' trees and vines. Little things like this that I took for granted when living amongst it. Talk about upping your mindfulness game! • This also heightens my awareness to my current home and climate, and I'm often finding myself feeling grateful to live here in Aus. • But you don't have to travel to appreciate what you have right now. It just takes a bit of mindfulness, to check-in and notice your surroundings. Bonus that this helps bring a sense of grounding, to get your out of your head or anxious thoughts too. Give it a try and see how you feel. • What do you love about where you live? When we focus on the good, we tend to find even more 🙏🏼 I'd love to know where you're from originally and if you still live there? #SoleFireWellness #tbt #SFin🇺🇸
