• Carjacking pursuit: Police swarmed the area around 16th and Spring just after midnight Tuesday morning in search of suspects who reportedly fled on foot after a carjacking chase ended with a crash at the corner. SPD says the car was stolen on Rainier Ave S and chased after it was spotted later in the night on MLK. The pursuit ended after the car collided with another vehicle at 16th and Spring. One teen suspect was taken into custody but another fled on foot:
  The two suspects in the stolen car fled on foot. A K-9 team responded and tracked the driver down, taking him into custody in the 1100 block of 17th Avenue. The other suspect was not located.
• Office dogfight: Police were called to the 1500 block of 12th Ave just down the street from the East Precinct to a fight between two animals at a dog-friendly office in the building Monday morning. According to precinct radio updates, a fight involving two dogs had gotten out of hand and one animal was reportedly in an agitated state inside the building. Police and people at the  office were able to contain the animal while personnel from King County Animal Control were dispatched. We do not have information on what eventually happened to the upset dog.
• 12th/Cherry burglary: Seattle U has posted this security image of two suspects in a May 22nd burglary at its Douglass Apartments building at 1223 E Cherry:
  On May 22, 2018 at approximately 2:59 AM, two unknown male suspects entered the lobby of the Douglas Apartment building and then forced their way into the leasing office. The suspects stole one laptop computer and then left the area in a vehicle heading southbound on 13th Avenue from East Cherry Street. A photo of the two suspects is provided below:
• Suspect vehicle chased: An observant East Precinct officer ended up spotting a vehicle connected to a string of robberies and pursued the car until it became unsafe to continue the chase in an early morning May 18th incident that began at the Broadway and Pike gas station:
  The officer continued to follow the vehicle as it sped and ran red lights through Capitol Hill before finally ending the chase as the car sped onto I-5. After the pursuit ended, according to the report, the officer learned that the vehicle matched the description of a car used in an armed robbery at a West Seattle 7-11 earlier that night. SPD says it is looking for a group of suspects in a string of armed robberies including the 7-11 hold-up.
• 15th Ave E knife assault: One man was arrested after he allegedly used a knife to threaten another for playing his boombox too loudly in a May 18th, 6 PM dispute at 15th Ave E and Republican:
  According to the SPD report on the incident, the arrested suspect admitted to “removing the knife from his pocket” when he was “talking” to the victim.
• Club fight: Police rushed to Sugar Hill in a 1:22 AM incident outside the E Pine club in which a 911 caller reported a fight and a man armed with a gun. Police arrived to find a large crowd — and one unconscious male:
  Police say the crowd wasn’t very forthcoming with information about what had happened:
  A witness told police they believed the gunman had stowed the weapon inside a Dodge Charger police found in the street at the scene. The car was impounded but no details of any subsequent search were included in the report. There were no arrests.
• Cal Anderson skateboard robbery: A victim told police he was robbed after being assaulted with a skateboard in a pre-dawn May 18th incident in Cal Anderson Park:
  The victim said his messenger bag was taken in the assault. There were no immediate arrests.
• Pike/Pine mugging: Police couldn’t do much to help a man who claimed he had been jumped and robbed of more than $16,000 in possessions in a street robbery in the 1500 block of 10th Ave just after midnight, May 16th. According to the report on the incident, police found the reported victim wandering around Pike/Pine, saying he had been mugged:
  Police were with the victim when the club emptied out just after 2 AM — but there was no sign of the thieves. According to the report, police helped the man get a ride home.
• 23rd Ave E burglary: Details of a reported midnight, May 17th burglary inside a residence in the 2000 block of 23rd Ave E are nearly too convoluted to share but for one noteworthy element — the reporting officer’s description of the responding K9 unit:Other than that, the reported masked bandits apparently ran off with the victim’s phone after threatening him at kitchen steak knifepoint when he confronted the thieves in his home. There were no injuries and no immediate arrests.
