A man died after reportedly leaping from the Pine Street overpass onto the southbound lanes of I-5 below early Tuesday morning.
Washington State Patrol and Seattle Police were first to the scene and began CPR to try to save the victim after the fall was first reported around 4:45 AM. Seattle Fire was also called to the scene.
According to police, the man died from his injuries. We do not have further information about the victim’s age or description.
Two soutbound lanes of I-5 were closed to traffic during the response.

Is there any talk about putting up some kind of fall/jump deterrent or prevention barrier? They have phones and a fence on 99, i presume that has deterred people from that bridge.
