Its heritage on Capitol Hill already runs four months deep but Heritage Distilling’s backside of Pike/Pine tasting room will celebrate a grand opening this weekend.

“Expect music, a blessing of the still, ribbon cutting, discounts on bottle sales, tastings and more,” the folks at HDC Capitol Hill — the “C” is for “company” — promise.

The Gig Harbor-based company’s recent expansions have included Capitol Hill, Ballard, and… Royslyn.

This summer, CHS visited the project that replaced a short-lived sandwich venture inside the overhauled Central Agency development. At the time, Heritage hadn’t fired up use of its microdistillery license at its new Capitol Hill location. Because it is within a 10-mile radius, Heritage can operate within the state’s microdistillery production and sales rules when it brings in its Ballard-made booze.

Meanwhile, the new Heritage tasting room is not a bar. Instead, visitors are encouraged to stop in for some tastes. Under tasting rules, you get the equivalent of two shots for $10. Saturday, you can mix those shots with a celebration of the new space.

Heritage Distilling Capitol Hill’s grand opening is Saturday, November 17th from 1:30 to 4 PM. You’ll find the tasting room at 1201 10th Ave.
