CHS Pics | The eighth night of Chanukah in Volunteer Park

With warm latkeh and a grand menorah, Chabad of Capitol Hill celebrated the eighth night of Chanukah in Volunteer Park on a chilly and wet Sunday in Seattle.

The ceremony marked the final night of the Jewish holiday for the group dedicated to reaching “every Jew” in Seattle.

Sunday’s crowd huddled together on the promenade overlooking the Volunteer Park reservoir and — somewhere through the clouds — the city and the Space Needle beyond.

Volunteer Park’s holiday season, meanwhile, continues this week with the annual Holiday in the Park slated to bring caroling and hundreds of luminaria to the park Thursday.
