Police take suspect into custody after two reported Broadway knife assaults

Seattle Police took a suspect into custody Monday night on Broadway after two reported knife assaults resulting in minor injuries.

The first victim was reported by staff at Blick Art Supply in the 1600 block of Broadway near Pine who said a male inside the store told them he had been stabbed by a male attacker who had fled the area.

Police were able to track down the suspect across the street in front of Seattle Central only minutes later and took him into custody after a short foot pursuit.

As the suspect was being arrested, police found another victim who suffered a reportedly minor knife wound in a separate attack.

Seattle Fire was called to treat both victims for non-life threatening injuries.

A SPD spokesperson said there is no information at this time about whether the attacker knew his victims or was suffering some type of crisis. Police continue to investigate.

There was another random, stranger vs. stranger knife assault Sunday night I think, on 6th and James. Any more info on the subject in this article?
