Community Post | BUMP! Is back, and it’s on the Hill!

BUMP!, the Northwest’s hottest Halloween party and premier gay Halloween event returns to Seattle on Saturday, Oct 27. A benefit for Gay City Health Project, as well as the Seattle Men’s and Women’s Chorus Membership Assistance Program fund, BUMP! continues the decades old tradition of featuring heavenly music, decadent performances, and it’s famous $1000 cash prize costume contest. New for 2012 will be the venue: Neumos, on Capitol Hill.

Spinning on the turntables will be Q Capitol Hill and Cuff resident DJ Almond Brown, and Bottom Forty resident DJ Spaceotter.

“It’s simply the best Halloween production in the area that feeds directly back into our community, and hands down, the best music,” said Brown, adding that he’s proud to be part of the event because it’s his way of “giving back to so many in the community” that have supported him and his music.

Spaceotter agrees. “BUMP is the hottest Halloween party in the city, with the best costume contest and highest production values,” he said. “It will be featuring two of Seattle’s premiere DJs who are conspiring together to set your jack-o-lantern on fire. It’s the gold standard of Seattle Halloween parties, and raises money for one of our most celebrated non-profit organizations, rather than lines the pockets of some party promoter.”

Hitting the stage at midnight will be the cast of the Chandelier Theatre Company’s revival of the Rocky Horror Show, and the festivities will be led by your emcee, the trashy fabulous Honey Buckét!

Honey, when asked why people should attend BUMP!, said “Bitch, u best b there ’cause Mizz Honey gonna tear dis shit out!” She then added that ” it b another forum where there b a likelihood for dis ho to connect wit some sexy bears… and also because they b promotin wellness.  Dis hoe can relate.  B safe bitchez!”

Tickets start at $30 for General Admission, and $65 for VIP. Guests on the main floor will enjoy amazing music and fabulous $6 drink specials. Included in the cost of VIP admission are a dedicated VIP lounge overlooking dance floor, 2 drinks courtesy of Pearl Vodka, a $20 discount from Uber for first time riders, sexy giveaways, delicious bites, complimentary coat check, and the fabulous Seattle Gay Scene photo booth experience. VIP tickets have limited availability.

For a full night of fun, start things out at Sun Liquor on Pike for the Official BUMP! Pre-party, featuring Honey Buckét, fantastic BUMP! drink specials, and locally distilled Sun Liquors.

After last call at BUMP!, the party continues at Q Capitol Hill with the Official BUMP! After-party, featuring the King of Seattle’s House music scene, DJ Nark. BUMP! ticket holders get half-off the door cover, so they can party until dawn to Nark’s awesome House beats.

BUMP! takes place on Saturday, Oct 27, from 9pm – 2am, at Nuemos (925 E Pike St). For more information, or to buy tickets, visit the BUMP! website at gaycity.org/bump
