Your library loves you!

Recently, a friend got some money from Neighborhood Matching Funds. I was kind of blown away: I had no idea that the City had money to give for stuff like murals, P-patches, carpools, etc. I wanted to know (and share) more so I asked if we could do some library programs revolving around cheap and cool, community based stuff. Because my coworkers rule, we decided to go for it. So starting this Thursday (the 12th), We’re having 4 programs at the library, the second Thursday of each month. We decided to call the series “Sense & Sustainability” because we we are nerds. The other programs are going to be about making good cheap meals, managing your personal finances, and reusable crafting.

This Thursday @ 6pm, Allynn Ruth from the City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods will be leading us through the process of applying for funds and answering audience questions.
WHERE: Capitol Hill Library 425 Harvard Ave (@ E. Republican) – big pointy building you can’t miss it
WHEN: Thursday, March 12th from 6 – 7:30 pm
Did I mention that there will be JUICE and SNACKS and GIVEAWAYS? Yeah, that alone is worth the walk down to the library.
