Capitol Hill Community Post | Windermere Capitol Hill Positions Itself as Standout Brokerage in Seattle Condo Market

winder-logoWindermere Capitol Hill getting set to launch condolink.com to give Seattleites public access to all the details and information for each condo building within in the city.

In an effort to be a resource to Seattleites on key information for each condo building in the Emerald City, Windermere Capitol Hill, will launch condolink.com this summer. “In Seattle, every building has a completely different set of rules, regulations, rental caps, unique amenities, etc., which is cumbersome to track down in advance,” said Windermere Capitol Hill owner Pat Grimm. “Windermere Capitol Hill currently has collected the details on 70 out of roughly 165 buildings, and we will have all of them when this information goes live on our website later this summer, which makes us stand apart in being able to assist each prospective client with their specific needs.”

Windermere Capitol Hill created condolink.com because data about condos that is most relevant is not readily accessible. Condos are unique as they present lifestyle opportunities, but also present obstacles for ownership that are quite different from single-family homes. “Condo buyers and sellers are often unaware, let alone have access to overcome those obstacles,” added Grimm, “and we want to be that single resource to buyers and sellers in Seattle.”

The Condo Link group at Windermere Capitol Hill has been collaborating for two years, and are consistently working on collecting and updating information for every building. “Mastery of the skills and habits that it takes to be successful in the condo niche will not only create attraction as brokers who know what they’re doing, but will also allow us to leverage one another’s expertise,” concluded Grimm. “The boom of the Seattle market is congruently fueling the condo market with the number of buildings and projects continuously growing.”

Capitol Hill Community Post | Windermere Capitol Hill Hosts Holiday Clothing and Gift Drive

gI_137578_imgresBroker Pat Grimm is proud to announce that Windermere Capitol Hill, to cap a year of giving, is hosting a holiday clothing and gift drive, with items collected from Windermere Capitol Hill agents. “We are working with Madrona School and Catholic Community Services to adopt/sponsor a number of families and help them out with their ‘wants and needs’ Christmas wish lists,” said Grimm, owner of Windermere Capitol Hill. “We also created two sponsor teams to help the Gender Justice League and Horn of Africa Services. We have adopted six families total, and any other donations/surplus we get will go to Horn of Africa Services and Gender Justice League.”

Catholic Community Services and Madrona School are two organizations that Windermere Capitol Hill has proudly been working with for many years. “They count on our donations and sponsorships to help with the demand of the families they serve,” added Grimm. Gender Justice League, which empowers trans activists to fight oppression based on gender and sexuality in Washington State, and Horn of Africa Services, a nonprofit that serves the East African immigrant and refugee community in Seattle, are two new organizations that Windermere Capitol Hill is sponsoring this year.

“Our office wanted to spread the way we help into different threads through our community,” noted Grimm. “Although we love to help families, these other two organizations reach out to those that need help through the holiday season that might not be represented in other places.”

Windermere Capitol Hill is no stranger to giving. Throughout 2016, it has supported numerous charities and organizations, including Amara, which works to ensure that every child in foster care has the love, support and comfort of a committed family; Babes Network, a peer education and support program for women living with HIV; Capitol Hill Housing, which builds vibrant and engaged communities in Seattle through affordable housing and works to improve the Capitol Hill neighborhood for all; and the GD Association, whose purpose is to eliminate homelessness in the area by providing housing for low-income and at-risk teen parent families, the elderly and disabled persons. Windermere Capitol Hill also supports the Three Dollar Bill Cinema, which strengthens, connects and reflects diverse communities through LGBT film and media; and participates in the annual Seattle Pride Parade.

“We love that our office is helping our own community,” concluded Grimm. “We love to help Seattle as a whole, but the four organizations we are supporting this holiday season are specifically in our community and neighborhood. With the market as crazy as it has been, it’s nice to take the time to help those in need when we have the opportunity and chance to do it.”

Capitol Hill Community Post | Windermere Capitol Hill Highlights Camaraderie and Community Via Video

gI_137578_imgresWindermere Capitol Hill recently released a YouTube video that encapsulates the camaraderie and eclectic makeup of its office and the commitment of its brokers, who are deeply invested in the community, to the Capitol Hill neighborhood, one of the most diverse and vibrant in Seattle. “One of the unique things about Windermere Capitol Hill office is that long ago, long before I came here (this business has been around since 1977), they decided that they wanted to show up like a family,” said Windermere Capitol Hill owner Pat Grimm in the video. “Everything that they do, it shows up like a second family.”

Added Windermere Capitol Hill broker Michael Harris, “I’ve lived here for fifteen years and it’s just like the most amazing place you can live. I think that as a client who comes to this office you’ll be very well taken care of because everyone really cares, and they work together and they know the neighborhood very well.”

Windermere Capitol Hill’s decades-long tradition of community involvement extends to numerous organizations and causes. It supports Three Dollar Bill Cinema, which strengthens, connects and reflects diverse communities through LGBT film and media, and participates in the Seattle Pride Parade in order to embrace diversity and tolerance. Windermere Capitol Hill also donates a portion of the proceeds from every home purchased or sold towards supporting low-income and homeless families and people at risk in its communities.

“Windermere Capitol Hill is not just about selling homes; it’s about deeply rooting yourself in a community that you genuinely care about,” said Windermere broker Derek DeWolf. “And this has become my home.”

Capitol Hill Community Post | Windermere Capitol Hill Stands Together with Seattle’s LGBT Community

FullSizeRenderWindermere Capitol Hill owner Pat Grimm is proud to announce the community-focused real estate company recently participated in the Seattle Pride Parade with its own “Over the Rainbow” float. “We take pride in the diversity and vibrancy of this community,” said Grimm. “We celebrate that. We promote it. We live it. Being a part of our community means the world to us, especially on a day like this and after what happened in Orlando.”

The theme of the 2016 Seattle Pride Parade was the “Future of Pride,” and served to honor all who continue the fight for equality, which particularly resonated with the brokers at Windermere Capitol Hill. Seattle Pride is the Northwest’s largest LGBT parade, and commemorates three nights of civil unrest known as the Stonewall Riots. These riots occurred in 1969 in response to official harassment by the New York City Police and are considered the birth of the movement for equal rights and liberation for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

“A big part of Seattle Pride is promoting equal rights for all,” said Grimm. “There is too much hate in the world today, which is all based in fear. We should never miss the opportunity to stand up in support with the courage to embrace diversity, tolerance, and love.”

Seattle Pride is also a day of celebration, and features a flotilla of floats that are both visually stunning and thought-provoking, such as the one created by Windermere Capitol Hill. Its “No Place Like Home”-themed float included a house on top of a 16-foot, 300-pound replica of Mariah Carey’s legs, complete with ruby slippers, which was purchased by Windermere managing broker Philip Heier for $555. The limbs were created for the Celebrity Legs of a Goddess contest, sponsored by Gillette Venus, with the proceeds benefitting underprivileged kids.IMG_2199IMG_2175
