Join Capitol Hill Renter Initiative and MOAR! (More Options for Accessory Residences) to come learn about policies proposed to create more housing in our city!
The City of Seattle is proposing regulatory changes to allow more backyard cottages and mother-in-law apartments to be built throughout Seattle’s single-family zones. These housing options help seniors age in place, let people unable to buy a single-family house live in quieter residential areas, and are frequently rented out at below market rates. Guest speaker Laura Loe from MOAR! will present about the legislation and how to advocate for more homes at an upcoming June public hearing (date TBD) about ADUs.

Dinner and light refreshments will be provided. We meet in the Pike/Pine room, on the second floor of the 12th Ave Arts building. The space is accessible, with zero step access via an elevator. Please RSVP on Eventbrite so we can adequately plan for the number of attendees.
