Central Hills Triangle Collaborative -- Collab #1 @ Optimism Brewing
Join Lid I-5 and the Pike/Pine Urban Neighborhood Council this Thursday for Collab #1, the next step in the Central Hills Triangle Collaborative (CHTC) design initiative.

We’ll be at Optimism Brewing (1158 Broadway), 6:00 PM – 9:00. We expect the program to begin promptly, and you can drop in and out at any time. Click here to RSVP and share on Facebook.

The event is free and all ages are welcome. Tuk Tuk will be dishing outSoutheast Asian cuisine in the courtyard.

The program will have seven professional teams updating each other and the public on their proposals for a major urban design effort: re-imagining what the space above I-5 could look like when the freeway is eventually lidded. Everything is on the table, from bikeways and schools to housing and commercial development, and we need your help! This is your chance to critique the early design concepts and challenge the teams to dig deeper and embody community priorities.

The CHTC is made possible by a $48,000 matching grant from the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods and sponsorship by the Seattle Parks Foundation.

Save the Date – April 18 Public Hearing

The City Council public hearing for the Community Package – including the lid feasibility study and rehabilitation of Freeway Park – has been set for Wednesday, April 18, 5:30 PM. Mark your calendar and plan to testify in support of Lid I-5 and our coalition partners! We’ll have more details as the date approaches.

Best regards,
Lid I-5 Steering Committee
