Holy moly! Linda’s Tavern is about to be 25 years young and we’re turning the clock back to party like it’s 1994! Dial up that Internet connection, dust off those combat boots, and get ready to let that tootsie roll as we travel back in time and relive those glorious (and questionable) memories of our 20’s.
On Wednesday, February 27th, we’ll be summoning our inner Macarena while getting rowdy on 1994 prices all night long. We’ve got DJ sets by some of Linda’s finest – Lisa Prank and Bree McKenna of Tacocat – who will be pumping out all the hits (and some near misses) from 1994. Also, be sure to be on the lookout for some other guest DJs blasting in from the past and spinning the hits of yesteryear and beyond – you never know who may roll up! Our iconic jukebox will be stocked with all the best CDs that 1994 had to offer, including some grungy gems from Sub Pop; and as a big ol’ thank you to the community that supported us all these years, we will be raffling off tons of prizes to all our party people. And, last but never least – free birthday cake, it is a birthday party after all.
Seattle’s art community has kept the lights on at Linda’s Tavern since day one. As way to keep that flame burning bright, we will be raising funds all night long for Art Corps– an arts education non-profit. So dab on a little CK1, unhook that other overall strap, and cuddle up with that fellow time traveler, as you wile out guilt-free knowing that all your partying will be fueling the next generation and keepin’ the creative scene alive. There’s never been such a win-win in all of partying’s history! We are truly honored to be celebrating such a milestone with you all. Cheers to serving this creative community for another 25 years!
Party starts at 9pm and as always, NO COVER.
