WHY This groundbreaking ceremony commemorates the start of the Seattle Asian Art Museum renovation and expansion. The $54 million project preserves the museum’s historic Art Deco building, addresses critical infrastructure issues, increases ADA accessibility, adds much-needed program and exhibition space, and creates a better connection to surrounding Volunteer Park.
