Pike/Pine Protected Bike Lane Community Design Workshop @ The Summit Event Space

Protected bike lanes are coming to the Pike/Pine corridor, connecting the lanes on 2nd with those on Broadway. Join other community members to help ensure that the street design works for people who walk, bike, use transit, shop, work, own businesses, attend school, and otherwise use these vital and vibrant streets.

We need your perspective to ensure the needs of businesses and workers are met. If you have questions about the workshop, or if you aren’t able to attend but want to share your ideas, concerns, or information to help inform the discussion, email us at PikePineCommunityDesign@gmail.com.

Workshop co-hosts: Capitol Hill EcoDistrict, Central Seattle Greenways, Capitol Hill Housing, Seattle Neighborhood Greenways, Cascade Bicycle Club, GSBA, Capitol Hill Community Council, and Feet First.

Dinner and drinks provided. Free and open to the public. All are welcome.

  1. Notice how the invitation to participate does not even mention people who might use cars on these “vital and vibrant ” streets. Clearly not even a thought will be given to them.

  2. Glenn, if you shop, work, or go to school in a car, you’ve been mentioned under that activity. If you don’t shop, work, or go to school in your car, you’ve been mentioned under “otherwise”.
