Without a coordinated effort, we are at risk of losing 70% of our forests in just 20 years. The Green Seattle Partnership is reversing the trend by mobilizing thousands of volunteers to restore 2,500 acres by 2025. Seattle parks need your help. Please join us and 1,000 of your neighbors for Green Seattle Day to kick off the 2009/2010 planting season. Green Seattle Day is more than a restoration event, it is a recognition of the benefits of our urban forests, a celebration of our commitment to a healthy city, and a statement of Seattleās civic-minded values. Most importantly Green Seattle Day is a fun way for you and your family to get involved by planting native trees and shrubs in a park near you.
