SPD Blotter: Man found dead near James and Terry

At approximately 2:29 a.m., a security guard working in the area called 911 to report that he had just heard three (3) gunshots near the 900 block of Cherry Street.  Officers responded and eventually located a victim in his truck parked on the east side of the 76 gas station in the 900 block of James Street.

The scene was secured and an area check, including an attempted K9 track, was conducted with negative results.  Homicide and CSI both responded and processed the scene.
