Thanks for adding all the great shots from today's rally and march to the CHS flickr pool. Here are a few of our favorites.

So passe.

I'm heading out to check out the rally in Volunteer Park soon. Stay tuned for pictures and updates from the scene.

If you're looking for inspiration this morning before heading over to the park, here are a few ideas. We'll be broadcasting a live thread from the scene later. See you out there.

Lots of you will be taking the #10 this morning -- it's a good route that takes you directly to Volunteer Park. But it's also probably going to be crowded and as the main route to the park, will likely face delays with all the activity in the area. Better than parking. But also consider another solution -- the humble Route 43.

Below you'll find a link to the Google map for taking the 43 from downtown to the eastern borders of Capitol Hill. From there, it's a brisk stroll to the park. Shouldn't take you more than 10, maybe 12 minutes. Good warm-up for marching.

According to Slog:

Seattle, as part of a national day of action, is planning one big protest of Proposition 8 and the bigoted Utah church behind the measure: Festivities begin in Volunteer Park on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., a rally begins at noon, the march leaves at 1 p.m. and then heads down to Westlake Park for more protesting, rallying and speechifying.

This tag on a power pole at 19th Ave E and Roy is a sad and odd cultural artefact. It appears to mark the death of 15-year-old Quincy Coleman, gunned down Halloween night in a shooting near Garfield High. There's another on the back alley wall of the Russian Cultural Center across the street.

Not to become all tagging, all the time here on this site, but this tag, in particular, warrants note because authorities contend that Hill tagging is not gang related. Is this how real gang bangers say goodbye? Is this how wannabe punks do it? Ironic hipsters?

A few images of "the next day" from my neck of the woods. The weird receipt-like results tapes hanging from the door of St. Joe's look like party streamers. Meanwhile, if you want to keep your Obama yard sign as a memento, better grab it before somebody else does.

This bird landed on my house this morning. It is not a stork. A sign? Thanks, neighbor, for the pic.

And we never will.

Even though he lives right here in the Fancy Pants part of Capitol Hill.

And he pulls shenanigans like this.

We'll leave the man his privacy. Though we may gawk a little bit when we see him hustling down 15th Ave E.

Have some scary pictures of your own? Share them here.

Spooky. And not far from Dan Savage's stomping grounds to boot.
