Pistil Books & News started as an independent neighborhood retail used and new bookstore in 1993 in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood (where Bimbo's is now). We also carried zines and hosted readings and art shows.
In April of 2001, because of rising overhead costs and the changing nature of the book business, we closed our retail store in order to concentrate on internet sales. We carry books in all fields, with an emphasis on scholarly titles, literary fiction, poetry, erotica, art, history, politics, and science. Quick service. Foreign orders. 24 hour response.
