Spicy times on the Hill

At Chutney’s Grille on the Hill (pronounced Hille), like any good Indian restaurant, they offer a spiciness star scale. Some are 4-star systems, others, like Chutney’s are 5-star. 1 star is least spicy, 5 is most.

Warning: Chutney’s 4-star is the real deal. Please, do not try the 5.

You’ve been warned.

I like to call it the “ring of fire” scale. I like my indian food right around three rings of fire.

PS – India Express on broadway delivers. Nothing like some murg jalfrezi delivered to your door on a cold night.

“Best indian food at low prices”

Can’t beat that

India Express is good call. Our friends say they cook indian at home but walk over to Chutney’s for naan. Maybe IE will hook them up if they order in volume.

Hey kind neighbors, who else delivers food around Capitol Hill?? Just moved here and was wondering what I else I could get delivered besides pizza. Thanks!

Well, uh, embarrassed mumbling… have to admit your options are slim. We pretty much limit ourselves to Pagliacci Pizza and now we can add India Express (we hope). Have heard Teapot Vegetarian delivers. And there are several options if you’re willing to pay extra for a delivery service. But why not just live on pizza and curries?

J: Too bad. This is the kind of neighborhood where a restaurant could do well just off take out that was delivered!

Try Annapurna, an Indian/Nepalese place on Broadway & Denny (across the street from where the US Bank was temporarily housed). Great curries, and some different ones than you usually see in Indian restaurants in the area.
