So excited about Smith, all the cool kids couldn’t resist an opening night visit. The place does sound pretty sexy.
Seattlest was into the group thing:
There’s a ton of taxidermy on the walls, but the main thing is how open the space is and the variety of seating options: you’ve got bar stools, small tables, long-bench tables, and booths — seems like a great place for group meet-ups.
Dan Savage just wants some basic human interaction:
Smith has two long tables, meant to be shared, which means people are going to have to crowd in with each other and interact—which is perfect for a bar in Seattle.
Us? We’re way too cool for opening night. See you at the long table.
**Update**
Metroblogging Seattle, too: If I lived near 15th, I would probably be at Smith all the time.

Samantha had the good sense to save her bar ‘blogging until the morning after…
I went. I liked it. The atmosphere was great, the people were friendly. Linda was walking around like a proud mama. I think it will last! And it’s walking distance!

Please take animal parts off the wall. It’s sickening.
