Capitol Hill Food and Drink Notes: Sushi coming to 12th avenue edition

  • Octo Sushi will be opening at Crave’s old space (in the same building Velocity just moved into) at 1621 12th Avenue
  • Tango turns 10 this April: as part of its month-long celebration, they are offering Free El Diablo Desserts on April 1 – the El Diablo is composed of  cayenne, spicy almonds, cocoa nibs and burnt meringue, finished with a tequila-caramel sauce
  • Fuel Coffee is celebrating its 5th anniversary on March 30: Drink specials all day long at all three Fuel locations: 50% off all drinks and all Fuel merchandise
  • Cafe Char has reopened on Madison – will host monthly Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony – offering opening special of $2 double shot lattes
  • Bethany Clement has good things to say of Jup Jup Jup Thai (she’s normally parsimonious with unironic exclamation points): “The super-rich, spicy-without-any-stars green curry with a braised half game hen is especially good (get the coconut rice!)”
  • Jessica Voelker of Seattle Metropolitan reminds us that Philly Fevre has the only authentic Philly Cheese Steak in town
