Betty the Gentle Pit Bull home again

We heard from the folks at Hill pet supply store The Feed Bag that they heard that Betty the lost pit bull — that you probably know about because of all the signs on Capitol Hill utility poles or this Charles Mudede post on the Slog — had been found. So we sent a note to the e-mail on the posters to ask: Is Betty the Gentle Pit Bull home safe and sound? Here’s the answer we received:

Yes! the wonderful security people at Seattle Central Community College were able to secure her until Animal Control came and got her.

I received a call from Michael (thank you!) who works at Animal Control and lives on the Hill that she was at their facility in Interbay.

We were able to recover her there.

Please thank all the people who helped her, called us, and kept an eye open for her.

(My car was parked in the upper lot at the QFC on Broadway. It was broken into either with the intention to take Betty, or to see if there was anything else to take, and Betty escaped.)

Betty’s human friend is sending over a picture that we’ll add when we get it. In the meantime, regardless of what you think about the breed, it’s good to know that sometimes when we get lost, we get found.
