Artful Dodger moves to Olive Way and Harem continues to look for space

In June 2010, Artful Dodger Tattoo, which is currently located inside The Red Chair Salon on 15th Avenue, will have completed its move to 1715 East Olive Way.  Artful Dodger has done business on 15th since June 2009.  Here are the details from Lucky Barnard, Artful Dodger’s co-owner and tattoo artist:

We signed papers, dropped off a deposit and first month’s rent, and now have our very own key to the front door of our new location!

Our new address is 1715 E Olive Way, Seattle WA and the building is beautiful!  The owners have really tried hard to get a great group of renters in there and they’ve done an amazing job.

We still have a lot of construction work to accomplish and are hoping to have the grand opening the first week of June.

In less happy news, CHS has learned that though Harem owner Victoria Landis found temporary shelter at 1715 East Olive for her business in the past few weeks, she will not be staying at the space.  Harem vacated its North Broadway location at 618 Broadway East earlier this year and continues to look for space on the Hill suitable for its unique niche: Middle Eastern and South Asian goods, performances and art.

1715 East Olive is currently home to Art Attack Theater Ensemble and Body Symphony, a gyrotonic studio.

She had some cool stuff in there, but unfortunately, it was too expensive to buy (at least for me!) so I think she would have sold more if she would lower the prices a bit. Anyone else think so?
