McConnell court date set for June

A brief update on the legal proceedings related to charges against Caffe Vita and Via Tribulani owner Mike McConnell following a March 31st automobile collision and altercation in the street near Broadway and James. CHS has learned that McConnell’s court date was set for early June in a Monday afternoon hearing. We’re continuing to follow the proceedings and will report on the case as it unfolds. McConnell faces assault, DUI and hit and run charges. He has entered a plea of not guilty. You can view the SPD report on the incident here.

In other Hill legal news, CHS is also tracking down details of the cases against the men accused in the Airsoft street robberies. We’ve been promising an update on that case and should have details to share later on Tuesday.
