SPD says he’s been found: UPDATE on Missing Boy: Officers located him safe and sound at 10:58 PM in a South Seattle. He has been returned to his mother.
On September 23rd at approximately 5:37 p.m. the above pictured 14-year-old Asian boy was dropped off by a Metro Access bus at 5th Avenue and Cherry Street downtown. The boy was supposed to be handed off to his mother however, that exchange did not occur. The boy walked off and was last seen walking westbound on James Street from 5th Avenue. His mother reported him missing at 6:10 p.m. this evening.
The boy’s name is Akio Furusho. He is 5’4″, 120 lbs., with brown eyes and dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing a green, white, and black jacket, light brown shirt, dark blue sweatpants, black Sketcher shoes, and carrying a red backpack. He is developmentally disabled.
Anyone who sees this boy should immediately call 911 and keep him in sight.
